Causeway Coasteering was founded by Matt Wright in 2010, after a lot of planning, extensive research, and purposeful exploration of multiple locations around the Giant’s Causeway. Matt has well over 20 years’ experience as a multi-discipline surfer and all-round waterman! Through these lifelong oceanic pursuits, Matt has gleaned an intimate knowledge of the ocean, it’s patterns of movement, biodiversity, and safety.

Over the years, Matt has built the Causeway Coasteering team to reflect these values and also, the characteristics that it has become known for; friendliness, ‘craic,’ genuine care for customers and the local marine environment, expert knowledge of our coastline and crucially, how to leverage it for coasteering fun. All of our team live on and love the Causeway Coast. This is home and we want you to feel our welcome!
